2016 has been an incredible year for film. Even with a shaky start and a less than stellar summer season, there have still been a bevy of incredible and entertaining cinematic adventures to enjoy. The last few months have brought forth some of the best entries this year has to offer. This awards season has raised the bar and has diversified in ways that could have only been imagined. With films like the brilliantly poetic Moonlight all to the stoically powerful Fences, the 2016 Oscar race will certainly be a very tight race that is sure to expand the academy’s horizons. It has been our great pleasure here at Bro Knows to make it our mission to seek out and view all of the best that 2016 had to offer and as a result make sure that you know all the absolute can’t miss movies from an otherwise tumultuous year. 2016 is the year of the Grim Reaper, Brexit, and the side show 2016 election, but it is also a year for brilliant independent and blockbuster cinema alike. Without further delay, we here at Bro Knows brings you our official Best Movies of 2016 list.

1) Moonlight

Very little needs to be said about the brilliance of all of these films. Each is as wonderful as the last, But Moonlight reigns supreme ahead of them all as the only film in 2016 to earn a 5/5 on the Bro Knows scale, joining only Mad Max Fury Road with that honor. Here is to hoping that 2017 will bring us more amazing films and a prosperous box office. Feel free to hit us up in the comments with what you agree or disagree with. Thank you all for your support of Bro Knows in 2016 and your continued support in 2017. We are planning to make a transition soon and as such, the site will be overhauled in an effort to bring you the best and most enhanced experience possible. HAPPY NEW YEAR MOVIE FANS!!!
