globes-header

Award season is now official, and to kick it all off we have us the greatest award show Hollywood has to offer! Yes the Golden Globes are a glorified frat party that hands out some of the most meaningless awards you can fathom. This an award show whose absurdity was perfectly exemplified in Ridley Scott’s reaction to winning the Globe for “Best Comedy or Musical” for The Martian. The Hollywood foreign press is made up of a handful or representatives that are employed by foreign owned publications and happen to reside in the greater Los Angeles area. It’s not exactly a who’s who of journalists, and it’s about a fraction of a percent of the size of the academy, but that has never stopped them from putting on a great show filled with booze and laughs. This years nominees list is basically a glorified invitation to the biggest stars who may or may not actually deserve viable awards consideration. None of this will stop us here at Bro Knows from watching and throwing in our two cents. So what about the awards? Who’s nominated and who are the likely winners? The Golden Globes can be tough to predict, mostly on account of how menial they are as an award show, but we still want to give it a stab anyway. So here are our predictions for this year’s Golden Globes!
