Guardians of The Galaxy was one of the biggest surprise hits, which solidified Marvel as the the gold standard in the comic book film industry. Since the opening of the first film fans have been clamoring for more from director James Gunn and luckily Marvel announced a sequel to the the film bringing back the whole ragtag crew of misfits that would become some of our favorite heroes.
Recently James Gunn dropped a few behind the scenes images on his Facebook page, much to the delight of fans everywhere, the only problem is that apparently everyone in the cast is a terrible actor and Gunn wants them to be more like Drax himself, Dave Bautista. Okay so he was just having a little fun on social media but seeing the gang all together and doing some dry run rehearsals are still really exciting none the less
The behind the scenes photo above shows James Gunn coaching his team on how to act and features the whole cast including Sean Gunn who is the stand in for Rocket Raccoon on set, who is voiced by Bradley Cooper. Sean Gunn is seen kneeling to stand at the appropriate height for rocket.
Not too long ago Gunn also tweeted a photo from Michael Rooker on set for rehearsal. The cast also took to their respective social media accounts as well with Bautista showing pictures of him in the gym getting back into “Drag-mode” and Saldana commented about how “It’s officially face and body art day for the next 5 months.”
Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 has officially kicked off, and will continue the story of Peter Quill and company. The speculation is that we will finally learn who Quill’s father is finally, and this might finally tie these characters to the rest of the Marvel cinematic universe. Either way these little sneak peaks are always a pleasure and are definitely ramping up our excitement for the film.
