Trailer Spotlight: Bridge of Spies

The first trailer for the upcoming Bridge of Spies starring Tom Hanks has officially dropped and it looks as amazing it sounds. Spielberg has long been arguably the best director of all time, and he is entering unexplored territory for himself here. He has essentially made masterpieces in every genre and period of time, but the Cold War era is not something he’s ventured into as of yet. Bridge of spies has all the makings of an incredible thriller with solid historical implications, that can shed light on an enigmatic time in U.S. history. The film is set to release in October, and stars Tom Hanks, Alan Alda, and Amy Ryan. Check out the trailer! This my friends, is an epic trailer. Giving us an inside look into a troubling time, we get to see Hanks step into a pivotal role that will likely garner him some award consideration. Spielberg has his fingerprints all over this thing and the idea that he is back doing his thing with another political film after Lincoln, is fantastic news. He has shown time and again that he is clearly one of the greatest directors of all time and this film will likely only add to his legacy as a filmmaker.
