Sony has officially released the first extended clip form their upcoming movie Life. No we’re not talking that old Eddie Murphy movie, this is the claustrophobic space thriller, that sees Deadpool, Bubble Boy, the woman from the last Mission Impossible movie, and Tom Brady’s ex-wife, as they battle an ominous alien life form. The clip showcases just what this little fishlike creature is capable of, and it is no joke friends.

The tension filled clip showcases Ariyon Bakare, “stimulating the alien thing with a tiny cattle prod, because what could possibly go wrong there, right? The clip ends with the guys fingers being snapped in half, and it’s tough to argue that he didn’t deserve it a little. The film actually stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, Ryan Reynolds, Olga Dihovichnaya, Hiroyuki Sanada, and the aforementioned, Ariyon Bakare. The clip itself is cool, but there are some continuity issues that need some explaining. Like when Reynolds’ character says he wants to go in and help, but Ferguson’s states that it would break quarantine, but then Bakare’s character is in the room with the alien, without a hazmat suit, and the alien is already in a secured container. That sequence was a it of a head scratcher.

Life looks like it could either be very interesting, or complete trash. Only one way to find out, and that is to go and see it on March 24th! Check out the full synopsis for the movie below.
