Spiderman: Homecoming, is not the best title for the Spiderman reboot, but oh well. That said, the buzz out of Civil War, is that Spiderman is amazing in the film, making everyone start to get a little more excited for the upcoming Spiderman reboot, which will see Sony and Marvel co produce the film. Earlier this week it was announced that the villain in the film will be the famous Spiderman baddie, Vulture. So who is going to play the winged antagonist? Well initially it was reported that John Malkovich may be starring is Vulture, but now there is a new report that may see Birdman himself step in. Yes Michael Keaton might be stepping back into the Superhero genre after a long hiatus, with Batman as the last comic book character he portrayed. This is just amazing, and Keaton seems like the perfect guy for a role like Vulture. Still no confirmation on this, and we do not know for sure if Vulture is going to be the main villain or perhaps a prologue baddie, but if Keaton is playing him, then color us excited.

Cop Car helmer Jon Watts is directing the reboot from a script by Horrible Bosses Scribes John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Tom Holland makes his debut as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War, and the exciting part about Keaton’s casting is that it opens up the possibility for him to appear in other Marvel Cinematic Universe films should his tenure as this mystery character extend beyond Homecoming. Zendaya and Marisa Tomei are also poised to star in the reboot, and with Keaton’s negotiations ongoing, expect to hear more casting news soon.

SpiderMan: Homecoming opens in theaters on July 7, 2017.
