Next month we will finally get the film every comic book fan has been waiting to see. Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice will release to millions of fanboys the world over as the two biggest names in the superhero genre square off for the first time on the big screen. The hop is that this movie would be 4 hours long, but that may be unrealistic, and now we know for sure. The official runtime for the film’s final edit has been released. While most studios prefer to keep run times around the 2 hour mark, exceptions are made for the truly epic blockbusters and there is no questioning that is exactly what BvS is. So it is little surprise that AMC theaters has released that the run time for the film will be 2 hours 31 minutes. To some that may be too long, and too many it’s not long enough, but we won’t know for sure until we get a chance to see the movie,

Given the run time it’ll be interesting just how much of the story is given to the actual conflict between the 2 heroes. It will also be interesting to see how much, if any, screen time will be dedicated to the impending Justice League characters like Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and of course Aquaman. We simply cannot wait and are boiling over in excitement for this film. The run time is certainly no indicator or quality but it’s always nice to know how long you’ll be in the theater for.

Batman v Superman is set to hit theaters March 25th.

So what do you guys think of the run time? Are you excited for BvS? Drop a comment and let us know what you think.
