For whatever reason we have seen and heard very little coming out of the new Ghostbusters reboot. We know it’s an all female cast, we know it’s a reboot and not a sequel, but for a tentpole franchise film, we have little in the way of marketing. Well it appears Sony has decided now is good a time as any to start the push for the film, and have released a slew of images. We finally get a good look at Chris Hemsworth in the Annie Potts role, as well as close ups for the remaining main cast.
The news of Hemsworth taking on the role of the secretary in the new iteration of the classic franchise came out awhile back and after his cameo in Vacation, it appeared to be the perfect casting. That partnered with the fact that Paul Feig was able to direct Jason Statham to comedy gold in Spy.
The new Ghostbusters film turns the old on it’s head by gender bending the old roles. It is starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon as the new rag tag group of ghost hunters set to save save New York from the paranormal. With the images dropping yesterday the hope is that a trailer is not too far off. In the meantime you can get your fix by taking a look at the images released below!
So what do you guys think of the images? Are you excited for the new Ghostbusters movie? Drop a comment and let us know what you think.
