Trailer Spotlight: Term Life
Vince Vaughn has had some misses in recent years. He has phoned it in for quite some time now and so when you hear the name Vince Vaughn it may not be all that exciting anymore. One film might be able to turn it around for him though. That film is the upcoming Term life. Based on a graphic novel of the same name, the film follows a thief, who after a job gone wrong, is being hunted by various mobsters, hitmen, and police. In an effort to take care of his teenage daughter before he is ultimately gunned down, he takes out a million dollar life insurance policy. There is only one problem, the policy doesn’t kick in for another 21 days. Now on the run, he fights to stay alive just long enough for his daughter to reap the benefits.
The graphic novel is actually pretty exciting and filled with a good chunk of humor. Vince Vaughn, if he actually commits, seems like a great casting choice for the lead role. We now have our first trailer for the film, which features an all star cast including Vince Vaughn, Hailee Steinfeld, Jon Favreau, Terrence Howard, Bill Paxton, and Jordi Molla.

The trailer is promising, if it can live up to the dark comedic tone that resonates from the limited footage, then this promises to be a solid feature. Stacked with talent, this film will likely go as far as Vaughn is willing to take it, and it looks like this could be his return to form. There is a lot of edge to the trailer and the hope is that we can get a red band trailer of some kind, which would give us some more insight into just how dark this black comedy is willing to go. If it is anything like the source material, this promises to be one hell of a movie.
Term life is set to hit theaters nationwide on March 1st of this year.
