Trailer Spotlight: The Last Witch Hunter Witch The first trailer for the upcoming The Last Witch Hunter has dropped, and Vin Diesel is getting furious at witches! It is a very interesting looking movie that is for sure. Vin Diesel is stepping out of the car and putting on a long peacoat to tackle some otherworldly foes. I will say this the trailer looks like something Guillermo Del Toro would make, and that is a compliment. This movie looks like it could go one of two ways. It could either be really fun and campy, full of interesting creatures, or it could be like Seventh Son and be “so bad it’s good”. The movie stars Dominic Toretto, Frodo Baggins and Alfred… No seriously though we do actually like the cast. Diesel, Elijah Wood, Michael Caine, and Rose Leslie make up a pretty fun group of actors.   Here’s the trailer: Below is a synopsis for the film. If I’m being honest I actually really like the trailer. I think this has a real chance to be a ton of fun. Diesel isn’t likely to be starring in any Shakespearean films any time soon, but this looks like it’s in his wheelhouse. Michael Caine is always awesome, and it’s a toss up to who has the better accent him or Jeremy Irons. Wood has become a viable actor in some recent Indie horror films, mostly because he has creepy beady eyes. So all things being equal I’m in for this one based solely on this teaser trailer.

The modern world holds many secrets, but the most astounding secret of all is that witches still live amongst us; vicious supernatural creatures intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world. Armies of witch hunters battled the unnatural enemy across the globe for centuries, including KAULDER, a valiant warrior who managed to slay the all-powerful QUEEN WITCH, decimating her followers in the process. In the moments right before her death, the QUEEN curses KAULDER with her own immortality, forever separating him from his beloved wife and daughter in the afterlife. Today KAULDER is the only one of his kind remaining, and has spent centuries hunting down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost loved ones. However, unbeknownst to KAULDER, the QUEEN WITCH is resurrected and seeks revenge on her killer causing an epic battle that will determine the survival of the human race.
