Trailer Spotlight: Vacation

Bro Nation!! Firstly I’d like to apologize on behalf of the Bro Knows for the mini hiatus this week! It’s been a great week for movie news and we have missed a good chunk of it and that’s on us. That being said we are back and we will do our best to catch you up on all the latest movie news and trailers through the weekend. Our first order of business is the new Vacation trailer!

For those of you that are old enough, or at least wise enough to have seen the original National Lampoon’s Vacation starring Chevy Chase, are in for a little treat. The news of the new Vacation movie dropped a while back, and now we finally have the first trailer. What’s even better is that it is a red band trailer. What’s even better is that it’s really really funny. Candidly speaking I have never been a fan of Ed Helms. Sure he was in the Hangover, but other than that he’s been perpetually unfunny. The first Vacation movie is a classic and there was definitely some worry that Helms and crew would ruin the lauded franchise. Well if this trailer is any indication, that is certainly not the case. Bringing back Chevy Chase and showing some of the scenes from the original, this trailer is a win across the board.

Here’s a brief synopsis for the new Vacation movie.

Following in the footsteps of his father Clark (Chevy Chase) and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, a grown-up Rusty Griswold (Ed Helms) surprises his wife, Debbie (Christina Applegate), and their two sons, James (Skyler Gisondo) and Kevin (Steele Stebbins), with a cross-country trip back to America’s favorite family fun park: Walley World, as it will be closing forever.
